So like all my PM2's the first thing I do is open box and fondle it appropriately fling blade out and enjoy the beauty of the PM2 and all its glory

Then

Take clip off (seriously tip down carry ?) and move clip for tip up right hand

First screw stripped torx

Now what

Drill out screw and get new BHCS or send back to spyderco (she just got here not 30 minutes ago :.( )

If you have a Dremel and a cutoff wheel you could slot the screw head to get it out. Then you could call Spyderco on Monday and ask them to send you a couple screws. Or, send it back to them.

I just emailed warranty department my sad sad story

But I do have the aforementioned tools so I could perform the screwectomy as described

Yes i have a tiny torx kit for these occasions

I'm tempted to send it in for repair just cause I have three other knives that need sharpening

Hi kvanpacker,

Welcome to our forum and sorry for your issue.

If he stripped the head ( torx) of the screw and not the threads.

Filing a slot on the head will work. It will make it a slot head screw.

You need to invest in a better torx set
and buy a Sharpmaker.

I love it when the owner of a company is willing to talk directly to its customers!

If the threads are still good then take out the two non stripped screws then just rotate the entire clip counter clockwise and it will probably start unscrewing the remaining one with the stripped head.

Heat up the screw with a soldering iron to loosen the locktite and tap in the next biggest torx size. Should be a T7? Heat all the screws before trying to loosen and take easy next time muscles.

I feel your pain, only today I went to take out a pivot screw on one side and it wouldn't budge and i stripped it. Was going to clean it but no joy now. I guess it will be going back home for a treatment.

That's a good suggestion.

You can superglue or JB Weld the torx bit to the screw head. Let it dry and back it out.

Another vote for a better torx set!
I sure learned the hard way!!
