Y'all sure know how to make a man feel good! That was a fun knife to make, moreso than usual. Naturally I'll try more, but somehow the first
is always the most memorable. Hee hee.
Dan, there have been a lot of threads about the rotary platen, you can also check Rob's website, Beaumont Metal Works , there's a picture of one mounted on a BIII on the front page. Probably more about it inside too.
It's a fantastic piece, I used almost every aspect of it on this knife - short and long spans, the small wheel, you name it. In fact, the only other grinding I did on this knife was with a 5/8" wheel.
Just a cool tool, I love it.
