No Ammo!

My gun store is totally out of 7.63x39, my favorite caliber. I"m back ordered on a few online stores. 5.56 still seems to be available.

We don't have any guns to speak of for sale around here, but there's still some ammo to be had. It just costs twice what it did last year. Fifty rounds of .45 ACP ball plinking ammo is fetching $20 to $25 a box.

They used to say Bill Clinton was the best gun salesman in America. I guess he's number two now or will be soon.

Its pretty much the same here in Georgia too, especially .223, 9mm and .45 cal. You can still find them in small quantities in the gunshops, but they sell out as soon as they get them in.

The two Walmart supercenters in my county sell out of ammo the same day they get a shipment in. It's crazy! The manager of one of the stores told me it's not rare now for customers to come in and buy up to 5,000 bucks worth at a time for cash. And common for customers to buy 500 to 1000 bucks worth at a time. You can't even find 22 ammo here unless you happen to hit a store when they've just received a shipment. I have a gunsmithing business and I've given up trying to stock ammo these past months, you can't get it and when you can the prices are outrageous.

:thumbdn:Its nuts when a guy can't find 22 ammo but it would appear that the "SHORTAGE" is farely common, here in the Bible Belt of Americas Heartland it's the same empty shelves(especially hand gun and 223,7.62among others) and the "scare " is on!!!!

This "encoding bullets" :barf:thing has got alot of folks on edge:confused:.

Turn your ammo in (trade) for new yea right!!!
Tell all the criminals that and see how far ya get!!!:foot::eek:
Yea I said it so go ahead and Hit me!!!:)

If people are concerned about "encoding bullets", wouldn't they be buying bullet molds and casting their own & using their own freshly cleaned cleaned brass cases? When I was an avid shooter I used to go through around 200 rounds a day (that does not take much time at all) but I certainly would not have considered buying that many loaded rounds in a store, even back in the mid 80's.

jerrinfla
That is just it there are so many particulars that will HAVE to be thought out and addressed soooo how is the gubmint:barf: going to do it? You have got me treed:D The way I see it they (leo's) have so many thing to do now that make no sense that this will be insult to injury "IF" the legislation "EVER" becomes law :eek::mad:!
