No Blade Markings on the Battle Mistress?

I love my new Battle Mistress! I noticed however, that there are no tang stamps or other markings to show it's maker or place of origin (Wauseon, Ohio). Is this common to all Busse knives or did mine slip past the stamping machine?

Thanks for your input!

Hey Chris,
I haven't owned a BM with the black coating, only two Steel Heart IIs and neither of them had any stamping visible. The presentation grade BM has markings, but I'm not sure if they're stamped because they're rather shallow.
Here's a pic:

You don't need a parachute to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. You need it only if you want to jump out twice.

My Steel Heart is the same way, no markings for maker or location. Kind of a shame, it's a great knife that they should be proud to put their names on.

Hey, I know now, he's leaving the blades "sterile" for all those high-speed, low-drag "black ops". Gives credence to the term "plausible deniability".

The pen is mightier than the sword...outside of arm's reach. Modify radius accordingly for rifle.

I think it is for the military type sales that there is no stamp. But all his knives scream "BUSSE" when you see one anyway!

Yup! The design is quite recognizable that it doesn't need a label. Two knives were run over by an M1 Abrams. How do you tell what brand each blade was? The blade that survived is a Busse!

Thanks for the info guys. I just wanted to be sure that mine wasn't missing something. It IS a pretty unmistakable knife!!!

I love it

That is so true Greg! I'd say a tank could be dropped from an airplane onto a Busse, and it would dent the tank! Okay, it's extreme, but you gotta admit they're TOUGH!

Tknife, I actually took that from a story Jerry B. told me about a soldier who dropped his SH II on a tank trail. It was run over by an M1 and emerged unscathed except for a few scratches on the handle.
