No bumping sales threads.

What if we had a button on the site somewhere we could use to "mark" items as sold, possibly simultaneously archiving the thread?

If each seller edits SOLD as the first word of his title, I can mark every SOLD thread on the page and move them all to that archive with a few keystrokes.

Could do it now, with the current system. Would move a lot of posts up fast.
 
Perhaps if the thread were closed once the item was sold, then closed threads could be archived. I close a thread once I've sold whatever I'm selling.
 
Moderators sometimes close threads in dispute, with the intention of reopening them when the parties have come to an agreement. It's not as unambiguous as SOLD, but we could work with it.
