Nakano. The Tuffram was too expensive, but the technology for Almite came later and is more cost effective. Texture would be difficult though.
Micarta is ok, it just moves alot with moisture so it becomes more of an "eye candy" than a serious structural material.
I like micarta for fixed blades, especially checkered the way Nakano has them done.
