No-E, SFNO, or Hell Razor?

I've had a NO-E and have a HR. I like the HR best. I've used it hard and did lots of chopping even though it is not the ideal knife for that chore. But,I thought I'd give it a try, pretending that if I was in a situation where I really needed it to chop, then would it work. Well it worked fine and using a baton it spit all the firewood that weekend also. It opened every can of food that we used and was thrown at a throwing post for three days straight. It felt more comfortable as time went on. Now your other choices would do the same thing, I'm sure. I've just never handled a SFNO and have no desire to do so. I'd jump from the HR size blade to the Steel Heart. As xaman mentioned maybe the SH-E would be a good option. Good luck on your quest.

I have a mud razor and a couple of SJTacs. Both are excellent choices!
Another one to consider is the HRLM.

The HR, NO, and SJTacs are all excellent knives. However, if I was going to give a 13 year old a knife it would be something I wouldn't care as much if he ever lost it. If he were my boy I would get him a SJTac or a Howling Rat.

I won't compare NO-e to SFNO, but SH-e vs SFNO with mags are about the same size. SFNO@.22 thick, SH-e @ .25 thick. The SFNO with Mags was not as comfortable or for use as a good all around knife for me so I sold it.
Other opinions expressed here would call me crazy.
csbjr.

That is also a great comparison. A friend of mine has a SH-e. We compared the SFNO vs the SH-e. The SH-e chops better, because it's heavier. But I think the SFNO is the better allround knife.

SH E. Best Busse I've ever handled. I have the NO E and like it, but for pairing with a GW, something the size of a SH would be perfect. I just love the ergo series.
