I thought more people would be talking about the new Ti Lum?

I just received mine a couple days ago and absolutely LOVE it!
The knife is very classy looking.

Only one locking liner and two thin slabs of Titanium. Vg10 blade thin and sharp of course! Also the Satin blade seems to have more of a polish than most FFG blades I've seen from spyderco. Buttery smooth opening with the Nylon [Teflon?] washers. Lock up is solid. Ti slabs are a bit slick [slicker than the sage 2], but not a problem when it comes to use.

Overall I think the Ti Lum is a hit in my book and makes for a nice gents or light/medium edc folder.

Excuse the bad photography. Took these quick shots with a phone. :p

I think if they would have gone with the frame lock it would have been a big hit.

I purchased one. I think all of the Lum Chinese variants are winners. The ti was just a special run. It is a great folder for EDC. A framelock would be great but I'm not sure if we will see on in the Lum Chinese anytime soon.

The new large Lum Chinese is the one I am waiting for.

I agree that this knife doesnt get the attention it deserves. It's one of the most simple, elegant and beautiful designs out there. I think its because most people either love the design or hate it.

I'm waiting for the CF Lum. Does anybody have any idea when it's gonna be available?

I like the looks of the lum, but can't justify the extra expense when much less expensive knives have the utility I want.

That said, a CF Lum might be enough to draw me in.

The Lum Chinese is one of those knives that looked good until I held it. Hopefully, the larger version will really be as good as it looks.

The lack of a thumb ramp or a choil turns me off from the Lum design. It's elegant for sure but I'd never actually use the knife.

IMHO Lum Chinese is a gorgeous knife. Still this is afi knife. Few years ago when I got into Spydercos I was dying to get Lum Chinese, but couldn't afford. Original Green was going for $250+. Than we got zdp/black lum, than FG Lum and I beleive these two runs saturated afi market. Which reduce interest. As a safe queen Ti Chinese Lum doesn't look much different than FG, as of user, I would take Caly3 any day, any time over Ti Lum. New big G10 Lum sound much more interesting. Still I think for me personally Caly3.5 will be more attractive due to finger choil, jimpings, clip.

If it was a frame lock, it would be a “must buy” for me, even though it would probably be considerably more expensive. I’m kind of on the fence about it since it’s a liner lock. It’s definitely a good-looking knife though!

After purchasing a ZDP Lum Chinese, it's quickly become my absolute favorite EDC. Form meets function perfectly, with exotic steel and unbelievably slim carry.

The liner lock is beyond wonderful on my Lum Chinese. It's the smoothest, easiest opening blade I've ever owned. My Sage 1 is smooth(more so than my dad's Sage 2), yet it feels like a gravel pit compared to the Lum Chinese. Plus, jimping and choils are completely unnecessary on this knife. The ergos and handle shape melt into your palm, you just have to choke up on it. Definitely try one out next time you're at the store.

I think its one of the best looking, organic shapes in all of knifedom.

But for me it doesn't translate ergonomically. The shape makes it seem as if it wants to squirt out of your hand, like a banana shooting out of a banana peel.

But it is sweet to look at, no doubt.

I don't like the ergos either. It's just too small... I think that the bigger version will be a huge improvement.

I have to agree with most of the posters. I had one with black a handle. Very nice to look at and functional blade shape... but it does not provide any amount of confidence in the hand. I am rather confident around all forms of sharp objects, but the Lum... with the slick handle and no form of traction before the shaving sharp blade just scared the hell out of me.

You know, the more I look at this knife, the more I think I must have one. While the ergos are not an A+ in my opinion, that is a really, really good looking knife.

Edit: imagine a textured Ti handle (or any material for that matter), to give a little traction to the scales.
