it does not matter what i personally think. but as an taxpayer here (still in swiss) many others and i have to pay the bill and the salary of those people who select too! and for that i expect an good work and they mess up that badly and non transparent that it is an shame. theres allready forming of fight against it, more i cant say yet.
one hand opening folders are banned to edc in swiss, so i edc the OHT PE SG CLIP proto in usa for 4 months now. it has clear show that its getting easy dirty and cant be cleaned that well, as ecpected by my ecperience of standart sak like the soldier. for this reason the swiss army soldier usually have two knives, the one they got brand new in an box and an user to mess up, usually the verry same knifestyle.
but now we have 2008 and follow that practice will only imporrve sales. also an oht cant be used civillian until they chance the law that way, they work on it but who trust swiss bureocratics after personally get mistreated the whorst so you emigrate?
all i say is that with that experience anybody gets, an oht that cant be disassy for proper cleaning, chance abused parts etc easy, not in the factory, is not up to 2008 standarts. i dont say anybody is able to disassy but at least some more skilled people like the armorer of the unit, that would help a lot.
it will be interesting to see what they buy, after watch the germans buy sutch an big knife so they felt not up to date and get sompthing that isent either.
