No frills just good every day knives

I use 1095 in a lot of my knives because it is readily available, priced to where I can keep my costs down, takes a fine edge that lasts if properly heat treated, is easily forged and machined, it is tough and easily sharpened. The downside is that there is no chromium or nickel in the alloy and it will stain with use; we like to call that a "patina"

Stock removal from1/8 inch 1085 high carbon steel
Heat treated in my Evenheat kiln to Rc 58-60 with three normalizing and two tempering cycles producing a fine grain structure throughout the blade
Flat grind with a 400 grit belt finish
The harpoon clip is not sharpened
Professionally stabilized curly maple handles
Overall length: 7 1/2 inches
Blade: 3 1/2 inches
Leather scabbards with a belt loop for a right hand carry

SOLD delivered within the US. My PayPal and email address is gldrewknives@gmail.com

Sweet! Remarkable deals, Gerry. Guess I don't need to tell you that after shipping with insurance, buying steel, paying k&g for wood stabilization, adding in shop supplies and doing your own professional caliber heat treatment, you're not making much money. You are making really fine knives though. I just thought you ought to know.

I’ve never bought or owned any knife of yours, but your prices have always been incredibly fair, much fairer than any of us heathens deserve. Maybe this rude maker you speak of should worry about their own prices and let you do business as you please.

Of course you know your costs. I was just trying to make you laugh. I'm certainly no expert, but if someone is suggesting your knives are not worth what I consider their reasonable prices, that someone is simply wrong. I would bet a large percentage of your customers are like me and own more than one of your knives.

Yup, I’ve done the math, Grady. This is my response to a rude maker who has been constantly critical of my pricing. Interesting though none of my customers has complained.
I don't know that "rude" maker, but I am familiar with one that might fit the description.
I have owned your work, and it is excellent...and priced very nicely. I always look at, and admire, your knives.
Thanx for looking out for the small guy consumer.

While not a fan of harpoons, I've always admired your designs for how well the parts fit together aesthetically & appreciated how economically you've priced your wares. If I didn't have so many knives (too many really 😉) already, you'd be hearing from me & my bank account. Keep up the fine workmanship!

Got the knife in the mail today. Gorgeous clean knife . I can't believe the second on hasn't gone yet. Thank you sir!
