I'm sure that if you point out the "flaws" in the fit, finish or function of your knife, CRK will correct it.

Agreed. I wouldn't call the stamp a "flaw". Some certainly consider it a marketing "flaw", but it doesn't effect performance, does it? If it does, perhaps Adamar could explain?:confused:

There is a reason why the word flaw is in quotes. Of course, it has no effect on performance, but imo, just a "flaw" in appearance.

In contrast, I like the "Idaho Made" on my Startac Umnumzaan. It shows pride in the manufacturing location, but is discreet and flows with the design.

I few days ago, I saw a new SNG on one of the sales forums. It had a large scratch on the side of the blade and the seller stated it came that way from the factory (which I believe, based on my experiences). I would also consider this a flaw in appearance, that has no effect on performance.

Ultimately, the sales numbers of the "Idaho Made" knives will either stay the same, go up or go down. Based on the results, I am sure Chris Reeve will move forward with a decision that he believes is best for his company.

One of our favorite knife stores has a picture of the Ti-Lock, front and back side.

The Idaho Made stamp can clearly be seen.
