No Knives Allowed

I know it's easier said than done right now, but I'd find another job PDQ if they told me I couldn't do something I was legally allowed to do. Which includes carrying a gun, by the way, and that's why I left my last job.

With the possible exception of cutting rope, a good pair of electricians scissors could handle the cutting tasks you've described, and they are small enough for pocket carry. Klein is a good quality brand. You could also lower the bevel angle on the non-serrated blade and have a decent single bevel knife edge

on the SOG multis you can get yourself some extra accesories and swap one out for a blade, for me i actually have and old swiss tinker that my friend gave me after the blade shattered, so i completely ground the blade off and made myself a bladeless tinker (but i secretly had the can-opener sharpened to a shaving angle and i must say that thing cuts faster and smoother than any other blade i have)

I would be lost in my profession w/o some type of multi tool>>>I would encourage employees to carry one>>>not to mention on a drill rig.....

I hate to hear about the craziness of your employer, let alone the fact that obvious safety hazards (to the point of death of employees) seem to be ignored routinely. I would recommend that you contact your union or the state worker's safety agency and get them to review the company on your anonymous tip.

Also, good luck on getting another job soon and (hopefully) for a change in this stupid company policy.

Sorry about your job policies bro. A SOG would be the easiest, then a Leatherman.
Many models to choose from but with SOG they sell the parts, LM does not (you have find someone who has parts).
Also you probably will need washers/spacers and SOG sells them too, or you can use your own
(I found some in my washer kits, tiny).

Good luck and let us know what you got!

Find a piece of obsidian.

HAHAHAHA!!!

Just make sure the obsidian isn't sharp, because God forbid that your primitive knife be sharp, lol...

I had an employer once that told me I wasn't allowed to bring a knife, so I stabbed him...now he isn't around to tell me what I can or can't carry. So there you go. :D

Hi all,

At my job I'm not allowed to carry a knife of any sort, or pointy scissors, or basically anything that would work as a cutting tool:eek::mad:but I could really use a multi-tool that didn't have a knife blade in it. Has anyone seen one, or am I reduced to picking up used Leatherman and turning the knife blade into a screwdriver.

Thanks,

Walter

Letherman makes a knifeless Fuse. I have one, it was given to me as a gift.
