I can't believe it, for the first time in years I did not request, did not receive, did not buy for myself any kind of knife  I should visit Ragweed Forge before the end of the year to correct that :D

But I did get some cool stuff: a repro pocket watch; a carabiner watch/LED from National Geographic; a Brunton compass; some wicked gimlet screw starters from Garrett Wade; merino wool hiking socks; polyfleece pullover; nylon ski mask; apricot/jalapeno jam; Toblerone and Ghirardelli chocolates; beef jerky; WWII aircraft calendar; Terence Lapin's manual on the Mosin-Nagant rifle; two books on weather by the American artist and writer Eric Sloane; several mystery books by James Doss; several lottery tickets that didn't work out; the good will of my wife and children; and a big fat partridge in a pear tree that is now roasting in the oven. I feel very lucky...Merry Christmas :)

No knives here either. I asked for an Izula and it's one of the only things I didn't get. Not complaining, though. I got lots of wool socks, a Surefire A2, a wool sweater, and a bunch of other great things.

i didn't get knives either.. but i did get some cool stuff....:) sounds like you did too...:o

No knives today, but I did get a strop with strop compound. Got a digital camera to take pics of knives ;). A couple odds and ends, a really neat wolf medicine bag that my sister made for me.

Got a puppy too! The family is still arguing about his name, it has come down to Smoke or Jake. I liked Mack, but that was shot down. The other dogs and cats like him. The great white hunter of the cats, er, kittens still, brought the puppy a mouse he caught. I guess they like each other.

Nothing is more fun than a new puppy! Congrats, enjoy him well :D

Me neither! Well, that's not true. I got my brin-law's annual customary made in China $2.73 folder.... with hinged LED light and tool kit (ON the folder)! I love him so it'll go in the drawer with the rest of the last 28 year's of collection from him................
Surprisingly, as clunky and ugly as it sounds (and is), this one actually feels like it might even be worth $2.73 !

A new Remington 700 30-06 is added to the gun safe this year though!

Merry Christmas!

Well, his name will either be Doc, or Smoke. Already have a Beau and Remington. Beau has become the dutiful grandfather to this one, it seems like Remington might be the older cousin that helps the pup get into trouble. All three are from different farms, but the puppy was running about the kitchen with both older dogs like he was a big boy.

Some people go gaga over babies, I turn into a little kid around puppies. Some people think its hilarious when a 6 foot 3 350 lb behemoth makes gaga sounds to a puppy, it scares others ;).

Oh yeah, all yellow/chocolate Labrador mixes.

Heck of a hall, man! I hear you on the lack of steel. I am going to hit up Ragnars, amongst other places, to make up for being on santa's black list.

No knives here either, but I did end up with a red 4-D cell MagLite (and that's it).
Nice haul though; I see somebody left Santa milk and cookies. Beef jerky is always a welcome gift :D
