No lock folders

How do you folks feel about using no-lock folders? I'm getting a friction folder and I don't see a problem. Common sense! Thanks.

I have a friction folder made by Oupa and it works just fine. As long as the pivot is fairly tight, you will not notice much difference in slicing. You will, however, feel a difference when you try to stab into something. you have to be careful.

Many of us grew up with them - of course back in my day we had common sense! Not a good idea for many of the young ones of today (we need to sagety them to death - LOL)

bdws1975 & msgt---Thanks! I will be careful. True, there's not much common sense around today!! My first folder was a Sodbuster. I thought I'd try a simple, good ole folder again. I'll post what I have coming in. Have a good one.
