Insurance is to protect the shipper, not the purchaser...as the buyer cannot make a claim on something they didn't ship themselves. It is the seller's responsibility to make the buyer whole if the item is not delivered, at which point the shipper would have to file a claim with the post office or other service to cover their loss.
