i see a few different websites that have the spyderco mini persian on sale, but dont see the bigger one anywhere. is it just me or is the mini persian not very popular? i myself got a great deal on one, and its superb. i dont see it mentioned very much on these forums either. seems like a very underrated knife.

I have both the large one and the small one and they both are fantastic knives. Very well made and super classy looking to boot. The large one isn't made anymore and as for popularity, just try finding one for sale. :o

I'm a big fan of pretty much any Persian style blade and really like both the large and the small Spydercos.
Finding a LNIB large Persian now a days is like trying to find golden chicken lips though :(

Unless I missed the memo, the Mini Persian is still in the line up. It has been there for a few years. Basically unless something happens, knives that long in the tooth don't generate many new threads. It isn't an indication of quality or lack thereof, just of the overall attention span of forumites. They like to talk about what is new or soon to be out, rather than stuff they have had for a few years.

C83 Schempp Persian has been out of production for over a year while, as Zen pointed out, C105 Persian 75mm is still in production. That accounts for both the lack of the former, and the the presence of the later, on internet dealer websites.

While I prefer the larger version, I do carry and use a Mini Persian occasionally when a more "NKP friendly" knife is necessary. Looks good, works even better.

Sometimes this one...

Hey Paul. Very nice examples of user Mini Persians. Love the engraving on the first one. I need to get myself a second Mini. That way I don't have to worry about ruining my only one. Hope to get a C83 one day too. :)

Beautiful knives. Unfortunately, the full sized Persian didn't fit my hand, so I never even looked at the smaller one.
