No love? You should have gotten here during the ganzzaa time, trust me m8, you'd get so much helpful advice and welcoming.

As for Hogdom, its not a title one can bestow upon oneself. You are a HOG, when other HOGs recognize you as one, and piglets look up to you. Until then it is just SQUEEL talk.

I have been around since 07, shared the joys, the drinking, the laughs, the pains, discovery of new addictions, the drinking, learned about bourbon, the trades, the joys, the drinking, the awe, witnessed the grandeur that is INFI, the madness of the stampede and the pitfalls of ganzza's, scored in one, and did I mention drinking?

And the only way I was called a HOG was when I tricked 4 people during the ganzza into calling me one in my attempt to...."help them in the ganzza."

I may not be a HOG or recognized as one, but hell its still mad fun hanging around here, people are awesome, and even if I don't get the the title of the HOG, I'll still get to trick the piglets.

The symbols are spelled Zildjan, so no relation. Ziljan is just a name I use online.

Now, about sending my new SAR3 and a bottle of scotch.... :eek: that line might work if I was not getting it directly from the company store. But I will bring that bottle of scotch to Blade and we can drink it together while you train me in the ways of Busse, my master.

That is awesome. I will fit right in on the drinking part, I woke up this morning with my liver hurting if you catch my drift. As for being called a HOG, maybe, some day, for now, I im just glad to chat with fellow addicts who drank the INFI coolaid from the trough before me.

Welcome Ziljan. Get ready for an interesting ride. Prior to my first Busse I had never owned a knife that cost over $100. Now between the wife and I we have 4 Busses, 2 Swamp Rats, 1 Siegle and 1 Okuden. Quality knives are addictive.

Hahahahahah UJ is maybe even more infamous than Cliff Stamp.

No, nevermind he isnt. But he is funny though. He keeps coming back under troll usernames like UJ or Uncle Jarvas and stuff like that.

But CLiff should have never been banned- even if he insulted the owner of BF and made fun of Chris Reeve and his S30v. IMO anyway. That dude was a PhD scientist who's field of study went along with knives perfectly. He knew just about everything there is to know about knives. Uncle Jarvus not so much.

Anyway food for thought. And welcome to the forums :)

BTW, to become an actual legit hog, you have to go to one of the Blade SHows and go to the Hog Initiation dinner or whatever. I havent gone only because I cant afford the transportation or cover to go in. The dinner is free, though (I think it is , anyway).

(I hope I dont get flamed for this!)

That's just the graduation to Hogdom... the road is long and full of various factors. Basically have fun, post, make friends and next thing you know... You're walking up to the Blade Show table and hear Jerry yell out your name like you're an old friend :cool:

Well yeah, its kind of like going to college- only until you graduate does it count, but a huge part of getting your degree and the general college experience is just showing up everyday, working with your professors, etc...
