After a week of waiting after placing my order and being charged, I emailed knife store and the guy told me the BK17 had been discontinued.... He didn't know. So I'll order one from another different knife store. Not the best service from that place it seems.
 
Just placed an order with another place. I'll call tomorrow and confirm the place has a 17 in stock.

Amazing how that happens. Didn't sell well enough to keep producing them, but as soon as they are out of production it's like it's the hottest knife on the planet and everyone scrambles to get one.

Its almost like KaBar knows what they are doing ...lol Make a ton of each and watch them sit on shelves for 3 years + orrrr make a sprint run and then stop and watch them sell out completely?

I called this morning. The place I ordered from had two ordered that evening. Mine was the first, and he was shipping it then and said he had no more and his suppliers were out. It was a store selling them on the auction site. They were cheaper through their online store. I like the 16 over the 17. But the only way I'll ever get one of hose huge collection of Beckers is to keep collecting when they are available. I use some and collect a bunch of them when I can.

Glad you were able to get one . They sure went fast.
 
My wife had two under the tree for me. I'm surprised she listened when I was grumbling about them getting discontinued and then all being snapped up so fast.
