Got an email a couple of days ago informing me that my backorder for a C41PBBK Black PE blade Native has been cancelled. They said they contacted Spyderco and they were informed that there are none left and no more will be made. Evidently there were about 400 or so made to test the waters. I guess we have another rare Native out there.

I just found two thank goodness!

Yep, they were a limited run to test the waters. Spyderco did let their online fans know about it when they were released.

Was doing my milkrun online and saw a black PE Native II (out of production) go for some serious change on one of the auction sites. I guess the word is out on the C41PBBK Natives.

Hmm, AFAIK there never was a black Native II.

Deacon, they made a C41PBBK in PE. According to what info I've come across and some from Spyderco, they made about 400 or so to test the waters and they will not be making anymore of them. Here's a pick of one of mine.

How are those different than the ones Walmart sells? That picture looks exactly like the s30v Natives I bought from Walmart.

The one in the picture (though it may not look like it due to the lighting) has a black, DLC-coated blade. Walmart has never sold the black-bladed Native.

I think what Deacon was trying to say is he's never seen a black STAINLESS handled Native(which is what the Native II is).

There are black Natives, but only the Golden made versions.

Native I - FRN and S30V, Golden made
Native II - Stainless and AUS-10/VG-10 Seki made
Native III - FRN and VG-10, Seki made.

Wow..... I'm lucky to have 2 of these then.... I love them a lot. Great solid build quality, so nice I moved them straight from bubblewrap to the safe :)

Might end up selling most of my Native collection soon due to some losses to USPS and Australia Post :(

This is a very nice knife though, any of you out there lucky enough to have one of these should hang on to them. Actually any of their black bladed Natives are a joy to behold, and an even better joy to hold
