No More Yucky Coating! (pics)

Looks good.

To be honest my new favorite is the tan coating. I don't know why but it really looks good :D:D

I've had my machete for weeks, it only took about 1 1/2 months after I placed the order. I have connections though. ;):p

BTW, satin

I would have to fire up my photoshop program as I was just pulling skunks leg ;):D:D

I'm not a "big" blade man. The BM is about all I need :D:D

Good Evening All-

Wouldn't it just be easier to send the knife back to Wauseon and have them remove the micarta slabs, fully strip the finish, sharpen the blade, reinstall the slabs and have the knife shipped back to you factory-fresh?

Just my humble $0.02.

It would be 'easier' yes, but I believe they charge around $60 for that. I may beat the crap out of mine for a couple years then send em in for a double-cut finish and retire them after that, who knows :p

It would have been easier, but the shop won't do it. They will not put a satin finish on a BA3, GM, or PD. This came straight from the top. Something to do with the type of grind....?
