No no no no!!! Northfield barlow in the washing machine!!

To be honest, I really kind of like the look of the blade now, it gives it really unique character and looks like it's been through a lot.

i've done it with modern folders, but all were stainless and came out fine, luckily. i'm glad you found it CClan-Man, and were able to clean it up! my wife got new phones for us (yay-smartphones) when she forgot hers in her pants, washing them 'cause the babe got sick all over them :). life happens, hopefully it all comes out in the wash :rolleyes:

Personally, I prefer a blade to have some character. Makes it look like the knife has a story. Some of my favorite knives are the ones handed down to me with patina on the blade and chips in the handle.
