No!! Not My Flipper Finger!!!

Wouldn't you know it? I now have in my posession my new Lahar and my fairly new SG2 JYDII and have been having lots of fun with the flippers. But.......today after getting my 3 year old out of the back seat of my truck, I swing my right hand around with a pretty good amount of force to shut the rear door. Only problem is, I'm paying attention to holding my daughter, and before my hand gets to the door it runs headlong into the big rose bush right next to the driveway, catches a monster thorn and rips a one inch long very deep gash down the pad of my index finger!!!:eek: Of all the friggin' fingers it had to be that one:grumpy: I don't see too much flippin' going on for the next few days. Oh well, thank God for thumbstuds;)

Wow, sorry to hear about the flipper finger injury. Tough way to start the new year. Hope it heals quickly and well.

You could always use this as an opportunity to learn to flip with the other hand. When I first got my manual flipper knives, I made it a point to switch hands as soon as my flipper finger got sore. I now can flip consistently with either hand.

Actually, you can flip with your middle finger...(Sorry, but I just couldn't resist.:D.:D.).

GOOD THING IT WAS JUST YOUR FINGER!!!:eek:
 
When you get better I would take the JYD, or the Lahar, And commence to reducing the offending rosebush into little bits and pieces.

To make sure such a tragedy never happens again ! :)
