Mods... issue infractions all you want. But NO ONE BID OR BUY THE FOLLOWING EBAY LISTING

http://cgi.ebay.com/DAVID-YELLOWHORSE-BUCK-110-DAMASCUS-SET_W0QQitemZ280112719665QQihZ018QQcategoryZ63792QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

This looks exactly like the set of knives that JB4570 was ripped off with. Different user name - Different Location and pic of what seem to be the same knives. But they seemed to have gained a display case.

Same blag tho... no pay pal and pay by Western Union. I cant imagine its the same guy who ripped off John. As he has already been caught for this once. But some people dont ever learn.

I am gutted... I went to great lengths to stop this bastard before.. I thought we had heard the last of this.

Just a heads up and I have already reported it to Ebay.

So DO NOT BID. Please.

Thanks to Decaf Dave for the heads up.

Mav

hey mav
i had just seen that listing and was wondering if it was the same person
maybe ebay can verify that it is the same guy ?

Hey Mav, Will you act as a 3rd party and go pick these up if I win them? (just kidding)

Maybe we should all start bidding it up to a ridiculous amount, then leave the guy waiting for his ship to come in!

I know, it's payback time for JB4570 .....He would have the most legitimate complaint to file with ebay against this creep.

Jeeze---no feedback---no buyer protection---no nothin offered on that one----I wouldn't bid on it even without the heads up here-----well and the Yellowhorse offerings just don't do anything for me.

I don't think there's any recourse for the member that got hosed by this scumbag---but revenge would be sweet if he could figure out a way to at least get his money back.

Maybe I'll bid a penny ---just to see what happens----lololoololol

Mav, are you gonna check with the cops and find out where they are with this guy's case?

JB4570 did you have communications with the cops on this matter and do you know what the status of this guy's case is now?

This has got to be the same guy.... same knives, he's from England, no feedback, accepted payment not listed.... thanks Mav for pointing this guy out again.

btt
glad you got the guts to post it
i got 30 browine points on a ticket already
that is why i sent it to you and jb;)
i kinda like the idear of bidding and runing it up ... :D
but what would ebay say?
i know they cant hide but
take it easy mav
i dont think there is a market for
knee cap scaled knives!!!!:D:D

I wonder why the first auction was tagged as being translated by e-Bay and the second wasn't?

Both allegedly originated in England.

Also, the second was in dollars and the first was pounds.

Hi All,

I'm am in shock...I can't believe this guy is at it again and is using the exact same photos as last time!!!! I have filed a complaint with ebay. However, I bet they do nothing....they want to make $$$$.

Rocinante,
Mav is the one who has been in contact with the UK PD. I have had no communication with them and I don't know the current status of the case.

Mav,
Can you make contact with the UK PD and let us know where this case is? Maybe we can work with them to set up a sting to get this guy again.

Here is what ebay sent back:

I clicked the link again----here's what it says now:

This listing (280112719665) has been removed or is no longer available. Please make sure you entered the right item number.
If the listing was removed by eBay, consider it canceled. Note: Listings that have ended more than 90 days ago will no longer appear on eBay.

This seems impossible. Any police organization is going to contact the victim of a crime in order to take action against an alleged perp. I have a gut feeling that something is very wrong here.

Blows.
I was gonna e-mail the dude about the item. Tell him I was in the UK on biz and could I arrange to eyeball the goods. Then wait for his repsonse and, potentially, send up our UK Sgt at Arms to "eyeball" or punch out the same.

You wouldn't have gotten a response back.

Just because the auction says the item is somewhere in England doesn't mean the perp is in England. The auction could have been set up from a number of different places by the scammer.

I emailed Ebay this morning.. and told them that the same auction was won by a friend in the US and he got scammed. I linked both the auctions so they could see for themselves.

Hopefully it was Ebay who pulled the auction. I am getting washed up and then I am on the phone to the police again...

The current state of the case is that the bozo had been arrested.

The police have been liaising with me since day one. I am JB4570s Brother.

Yeah, I figured as such. Was more interested in any reply but in my gut knew that I wouldn't have received one.
