No one ships to NY anymore!??

As a side note to the gun part, NYS passed what amounted to the Federal law in effect at the time ( which has now expired). The Governor was made fun of in the papers saying it banned no guns that the federal law did not already ban, but as true as this was at the time, the federal law had a time limit and the state law did not. You can own, buy and sell the restrcited guns that predate 1993, just like the old federal law allowed. The current issue is now that they are back on the market in non restrictive states, NY LEOs tend to not clearly understand the grandfathered exception which resides in the state law under the definition of the wepaons and clips.

i forgot about the old grandfather addendum. interesting. you have good knowlege tom. im in a territory by choice so i cant complain or vote. and have no voice.exept for a idiot named perluisi thats pushing for statehood. you think he should have asked the residents and called for a vote before speaking on the floor of the house. im undecided for statehood or remaining a territory. but i flip flop around on that one. however when and {if} the island achieves statehood{unlikely due to the current us president is not liked} would the current pr constitution be thrown out and the us constitution obeyed.{second ammendment}then i want my guns{only criminals and the wealthy get them here as of now}.ley 404 pr state law.
btw the quite a few police were just locked up last week. the largest corruption case in the f.b.i history.

NY is a pain in the butt on more fronts than just the knife one. I work in or near the insurance industry and know that at one time (think this is still the case), we could do business one way with every state in the union EXCEPT NY which had its own special rules and requirements.

It never ceases to amaze me that 1) New Yorkers continue to tolerate politicians that rule them with an iron fist and that 2) the rest of the nation continues to conduct commerce with them in spite of this.

I feel bad for the free people that feel the need to live there.

new yorkers are a tough bunch. they tolerate it. due to .there is only one new york. if you can live there you can live anywhere. if i could id live in long island. you can take a man out of {new york},but you can never take the {new york} out of a man.

I will not ship to new york because it is way too much trouble. It is just not worth it. they say he is now going after the online knife dealers next. there is way too many other states to sell to so why bother risking it for the trouble that you might get into.

I don't want to say you are wrong, but aren't AR15s under the assault rifle ban that NY didn't roll of the books when it federally expired?

You can get an AR15, but the magazine capacity can't be over 10 rounds, no collapsible stock, etc, etc.
