I'm glad you added the "I feel" part. Is it a nice knife, yes. Is it a $300.00+ knife? No. I Think that after all this settles down there will be some pretty sorry "collectors" out there. Buck has made many knives (in far fewer numbers than this mind you) that arent worth squat. I have some and have had some. SO predict what you will but time will tell... Let me know how the rubber handle holds up 20 years from now when this knife is worth 1000.00.:rolleyes: It is still a factory knife with polymer handles... No matter how rare. For $400.00 I'll buy a nice custom ;) But hey to each his own...
How many colt pistols are worth BIG money?? How about a Glock?

I will agree that this is america but The land of capitalism should be changed to the land of GREED. Why is it any different when the "buy it now " Clown"
raises his price, when someone walks into Buck buys a 50.00 knife, types a fancy add and marks it up 6X the original cost? "clown" could be used in both cases. YMMV....

Mines a user, I aint out to screw anyone...

yes it can be.. the one guy sold them at a set mark up..
he has rased it...
fancy add .. yep creative wrighting... and watching what is selling else ware..
all the bids on mine were from bcci members..
why they bid i dont know there were 3 of them neck in neck.. bid war?
easy idit had not listed any when i had.. what i said was what i belived then... i would not wright the same add now...
as far as priceing ... the catch is the 'best offer'.. the price is to give idea what is max estmate..

future price of this knife... who knows ... i dont think 1000 but would not be suprised at 500... remember 500 to us is so much more the 10,000 is to others...
i did not buy mine to resell ... i made some bad estmates of cost of liveing..
so some thing had to give... when it comes down to it thoes of that need to sell do so .. and hope for the best we can get...
man i need a drink... and i need a new jar to boot.. rum it is then..

Dave, my post had nothing to do with your knife or post. Even though I think it was listed deceptively, that is my opinion. 1 of 24 :rolleyes:

Yours was bid up, fine no problem... You didnt buy it for 50 then list it for 399.99. Forget the best offer. It could be the last pig sticker known to mankind. 400.00 is greedy and insane. Try to Screw a guy but sheesh. 6X over?
I have had to pay bills as well we all do. Then dont try to make the cost up with 2 knives. Greed is Greed. :thumbdn:

I have some Quest models from Buck maybe those are worth $1000.00 because they were all recalled. Or how about a 129 Fillet anyone ever see or hear of one of them? :yawn:
 
Theres just something about a "BIG" blade.....I left mine out for my son inlaw to see and man does he want it! Im with Dave on asking Chuck to make more but Id rather see Buck come out with something even bigger! Anything considered a ""collectable"" has a value that has nothing to do with its origional cost or production run...look at moderen baseball cards...I think that some, not many, who collect dont really care if a specific Buck cost 10.00 or 100.00 or 50.00 or 500.00 they have the money to burn! Its all about the thrill of the hunt,chase,and capture for them..... Really when it comes right down to it thats OK....A fool and his money are soon parted My Grandmother used to say. Most if not all here on this forum try not to be foolish...

My brother inlaw has a $1000 Glock Aerotech:)

Didnt get them at the Factory store,Got one on a trade for a REAL Emerson CQCB (not a benchmade)plus $40, one at a local Pawn shop and didnt pay $50 for the others.

Greed is $4.10 a gallon of gas ;).

Capitalism is a way cool BIG rare Buck knife you just dont see selling for what it is worth. IF I DIDNT LUCK OUT AND FIND 4 of these I would of paid up to $450 to own one myself No BS. Heck I bid up to $800 on Buckmaster Damascus bought for $100. I have seen alot of M8's selling for $300,there are Hundreds of thousands of them out there right. Please concider ones buisness partner brother inlaw might say "Hey you are spending to much Mulla on Buck Knives.You better sell a few":mad: So here we are. :cool:

So who determines the clown? IS it O.K. to wait until your new friend Dave ends his auction, then list yours for 600% more?

Why is it wrong if my knife just came today and I feel I want to list it to pay off my debt, because I just bought $700.00 from Buck? DO I really have to wait for Daves to end? I don't see why you get to make that call? Who the heck are you? I would be careful going around insulting people, you wont be here very long... BTW YOU made it personal...

yep i did not know how many there were out there... i counted and only sujested limited numbers... as i said .. knowing easy money was sitting on 30 would have made a diff... my "greed" was in not changeing the listing to reflect new information ...

yep some times i wander at thoes who list like they do .. i shake my head on a 560 bin for 250! but then i see it sold?!?
i dissagree with buying limited club issue knives to resell before others have had a chance to buy .. but the club has been stuck with them before!
some order then dont pay... so who am i to say... i am on limited income
bult my collection the hard way ... heck i had others surching me as by bidder because i looked Hard for my knives.. i hate to be first place looser for a buck..so i dont bid any more i snipe.. i have a program i set the first day i see a listing ... then forget it or cancle it later ...

i dont buy any of my knives with an eye to value later...
that is what i call an invester collector and next thing to a dealer...
if my knives lost half of their value i would still want them...
that is the reason to collect because you want it and want a set..
as sway says it is the hunt... i still own a pig sticker...

Dave again, my post was not directed at you... You had an AUCTION IT WAS BID...

You did not buy it and mark it up 600%.

It was bid to whatever the craziest guy paid ;)
 
Who ever is trying to keep a count of pig stickers, when I bought mine another guy at work bought one also.
 
I guess he is not out of pig stickers yet. Four more on fleabay with 3 left. Wonder when he will run out?
