If you don't mind driving about 45 miles to Vegas, try looking at space available in Primm, NV at the California/Nevada border. I got a room at Whiskey Pete's for $50/night + tax. Buffalo Bills and the Primadonna were $59/night +tax.
Sure beats Vegas prices on weekends they know a big Convention is in town.
