No rustain robeson ??????

NO-RUSTAIN was a line of stainless knives that Robeson produced prior to WWII. The
knives usually had a nickle-silver "NO-RUSTAIN" shield that had a blue painted
background. The master blades were often etched, "RUSTLESS-STAINLESS".

This was a premium line of pocketknives. Very collectible in good condidtion.

Can you post some photos?

Here is a representative example, a 619872 lockback with folding guards and
clip blade, etched. Some honing marks.

If you have a place to post them (there are several good sites that let you upload photos at no cost) then you can insert them in your posts.

The paint background on the various old Robeson shields seemed to come off with very little use, so it's not surprising that it's gone.

Those jigged bone scales look fantastic...would LOVE to see that knife open in a complete photo, you have done well to get the pics up
Thank you for "feeding" us...would like to see more of that knife.

Nice looking knife.
Does it have a pattern number on the back of the master blade?

Hi Guys -

I purchased this knife off of the bay -

The number on the back of the main blade appears to be 62827.

It is very nice - the center liner is slightly bent toward the secondary blade, but overall, it is in great shape.

I'll get some pictures of the knife tomorrow and post them here.

best regards -

Wonderful toffee coloured bone on that knife. Wonder how the stainless was in those days? Any good? Excellent pictures too.

I got a good edge on the secondary blade right away, but he larger blade has not been as cooperative. I will be using this one to rotate into my carry, so I'll see how the steel does at edge holding.

That is one gloriously beautiful old knife. MANY congratulations!

Thanks! This is my first older knife, and I was happy to get my hands on it.

Nice looking knife, mqqn!

Thanks Charlie! I had a curiosity about the old Robesons. I'll probably look for more now that I have seen this one.

.Damn!...where do these people get these knives :D

Another very nice Robeson NO-RUSTAIN jack.

I wish you guys would post pics of the back of the master tang. It looks like you've both bought the same pattern knife.

Maybe some guy is cranking them out in his basement.

Seriously, both those knives have some really pretty crisp bone on them.

I do not have one of these.:(

Hi CNoyes -

I believe this is the same knife that the OP posted about, and I bought if off of ebay. If you look at the OPs pictures and then mine, you can see some identifying markings, I am 100% sure it is the same knife.

Here is the back side of the master tang -
