I hear and see alot of knives and the story is always that they are edc'd and "users" yet most look like safe queens. Lets see some edc's and users that are put through the test daily and have the scars and patina to prove it. I would love to see these pics.
I'll start with my Bark River Necker in CPM3V. I carry it everyday from alarm clock to bed time. You can tell by the finish being worn of the eyelets in my kydex sheath. I acid washed and stone washed it and it seems to reduce corrosion. I live in the South with 85% humdity most of the time. Tough on blades. I did the G10 scales myself out of Black/Orange G10 since the stock ones were thicker than my preference. It's a work horse and ends up out of my shirt most of the day at work and has cut everything under the sun.

Cannot put my finger on why, but I love that Phillip's screws are being used to secure the scales.

Well, since it's a beater knife and used every day all day, I used what was laying around the shop. Stainless steel. Had the extra standoffs, etc. etc. I bought the blade naked and used whatever parts I had that I wasn't using for customers knives. Been on there since new. Never failed me once.
Same with that blaze orange kydex. A customer had a sheath made for a Bark River Golok and wanted orange. So I made it orange. Had a few pieces left over. Not much call for blaze orange kydex.
Things look different when it's not my own knife. :D

I love it. Beautiful blades. Every one of them.

Keep 'em comin'!!!

The bottom Blind Horse has been used a lot, even though it doesn't look so bad. I've even chopped through hard green maple as big 4" across. It just doesn't show on it. The top Blind Horse I bought to use in the woods, just as I do the other one. It's lighter, easier to re-sheath and I've used it to cut back mostly green limbs off hiking trails. Still it doesn't show use at all hardly! I vastly prefer this type blade finish to anything coated.

This old Victorinox belonged to a friend that died in a tragic accident a good many years ago. I have carried it and used it everyday for years now. It's something I will always keep.

This is my carry knife and the only knife I own, I have only had it for about 3months now but it's been carried and used everyday, it my look like new still but its a user since I no longer work it don't see as much action as when I was working but when ever and knife is needed mine is right there ready to cut at a moments notice. It's got a few battle scars on the frame and some light scratches on the blade and been sharpened once. The knife is so comfortable in the hand it would be a crime not to use it.

I don't have my main fixed blade here to take a picture of it, because a co-worker is making a custom sheath and needed to take measurements, but it's a Schrade (USA) XT2B drop point. I recently stripped its black coating off because it was so scuffed up, so the knife actually looks like new except for some nicks in the blade that will require some attention.

As far as folders, although I have several in my EDC rotation, I paid a whopping $1.99 for the Guidesman below, which sits in a coffee mug on my desk at work. I'm on the "incident response team" at work and keep the knife near my gloves and CPR face "shield" just in case, but since I haven't had to rescue anyone yet, the knife gets used for all sorts of workplace chores and is now missing much of its finish.

I'm not into traditionals, but that great eastern cutlery one is beautiful and I'd own one of those. If I knew where to look.

Got this when I was around 10, so over two decades ago now. Just a master mechanic (Schrade maybe?). It hasn't seen much use lately but it was a faithful companion for many years.

That is a great old Schrade. It is a Master Mechanic. If you can still read the tang stamp, it will have "MM" in the number.

Nice old workhorse, I had one just like it.
