America first, of course I accept that. But it makes me sad that more and more auctions of the big auctioneer are limited offers for United States citizens only. Actually there is a two line 120 I would like to have for my collection (302775396778). The seller doesn't answer my question if he'll make an exception. Would one of you guys buy that knife for me? That would be very kind. Thank you.

I live about six hours away from the original location. It’s just before 5am here local time, you might give it a bit for him to respond. If he doesn’t, I’m sure something can be worked out.

God bless America and also all the other countries that may be more in need of a blessing than we are (“sh#t holes”).

Glad you got it, Bert. I sent him a message this morning saying I would do the same, just in case. Good deal.

Great, guys!! Was absent this afternoon. So I couldn't answer the mails. Great, Bertl that you bought it and BP for your offer. Thank you very much for your help. I am impressed. Super!!

haebbie-for me the reason I don't do international is dishonest customs--I had knives stolen out of boxes and package given to customer without knife---ok---so with all the feebay and paypal buyer protection I got the shaft and had to refund the buyer--even not being my fault--no proof I shipped the knife....now I have many customers that have u.s.a. ship to addresses---you can rent a forwarding box for a reasonable price---I ship the knife to that u.s.a. address and they forward the package to you....you should check into that forwarding service and then you would not have to worry about missing out on an item....just givin ya my nickels worth thats only good for 2 cents anymore and trying to help ya out ok.....

There was time issue here. I would think helping out Buck Brothers is noble especially Haebbie, but will suggest with all angles considered try using PM or emails to arrange these deals. You never know who is reading and could stab you in the back. Paranoid thinking, you bet. 300

i have so often the same issues to find sellers who accepted to ship to france ... but never had any trouble with those who accepted.

its not necessarily any trouble with the seller---it is the feebay buyer protection where the problem is----if something happens in shipment then the seller eats it and that is not fair....

Don't even consider sending a knife to England now because of there 'war on terror' lol! It seems so silly to me that a knife, mans most basic tool, causes fear in many places in the world today.

I have never hesitated in shipping internationally in the past. But, the way things are at PayPal, I now refrain shipping out of the US. The problem is customs and the lack of tracking in many countries. I have to “know” someone very well before shipping to another country.

yes it’s true feebly always protect buyer and never seller not fair at all ! i have have a friend in uk who selling tools worldwide by bay and lost a lot of money with that buyer protection...

I'm sorry, Dogpound if you had bad experiences. You know, perculators are existing all over the world. I gained my experiences with buyers the United States too. But is it necessary to use a forwarding service? I don't like to pay shipping twice and I dont like to give some more money to the provider for his service. I would like to give my money to the seller of the bought knives more. Don't forget we have to pay te customs and import sales taxes too.

At least USPS offers an insurance. And if the sent item went lost you'll get the money back from the insurer. Your advantage: The buyer pays the shipping, also the insurance. He will get his money back from PayPal and you'll get your item paid from the insurer. Ok, that makes a lot of toruble. But how often does it happen? The most sellers have the bad experience with a "lost" item one time and stop shipping overseas for ever. OK, that's their (your) decision. But you do wrong the respectable buyer.

Some seller doesn't deliver to Germany because they think they break the law when they send a knife because the import of weapons is restricted. They are afraid to get a penalty. Thats nonsense too. At least there's no reason to reject buyer from overseas or to put the money into the mouth of a service contractor. But it is your decision t stop shipping to Europe. I am glad that here are people who trusts in me and trusts in other buyers on our side of the big pond.

Your correct on some points. There are a lot of buyers who want to scam the seller because of the buyer protection from ebay. Yes, all the things in the scenario that you stated can happen but after it's all said and done, the buyer will come back and give the seller negative feedback. The seller has no recourse because they don't have an option to give negative feedback to the buyer no matter what, that's not fair.

I've had trouble with a buyer in the US. His first story was that his grandson ordered it without his knowledge and then there were 4 or 5 different stories after that. Luckily I got ebay involved immediately and they ruled against the buyer, very rare, then the buyer gave me very negative feedback and ebay removed it, only because they had gotten involved right away.

What happened to me and I came out ok is Rare...Usually, 99.9% of the time the buyer wins all around...

I think Bertl helping you out was great for willing to help with your purchase. I think it worked out good, didn't it? Ebay the seller would have run the risk of the buyer saying he got an empty box, the post office saying they delivered it and not pay the insurance...So the seller is out the money, knife, and negative feedback. Not all buyers are standup people like yourself...
