This may not be knife porn, but I’m proud of my 1st effort. I took a combat worn flight suit of mine that I outgrew and turned it into a knife handle. A little Bondo, c-clamps, a Dremel and a scroll saw later...The Hex pivot was a bear and definitely didn't turn out perfect. Hopefully the first of many.

That looks pretty cool! How's the grip on it now? I bet the fabric added some texture.
 
Its about as grippy as the previous handle, but surprisingly a lot softer. I thought the epoxy would harden the cloth a lot more than it did. I like it.

I'll have to try this myself sometime.
I have some old decommissioned fire hoods that would make some nice scales.
