It typically takes a dozen hours or more, depending on how much fine line shading is involved. That also includes prep time such as taping off the scales so they don't get scratched, and working out a design.

Peter's engraving is simply incredible and he really knows how to be sure the stone is set well with the design. Pretty darn nice.
Lance, I sure do like the Maury Mountain with crystal vugs. I sure do remember that knife as it still is the only one I have done with crystal pockets.

I don't normally go for the really fancy knives, but that stone and engraving done on the one in the bottom picture could make me a believer!! That is a beautiful knife!! I WANT ONE!!!
