I ordered the Nalgene metal widemouth bottle... Guyote I think, and a GSI cup from Two Wolves Outdoor. Should be here in a few days.

SMG has some deals on surplus canteens/cups. I've got some Euro cups, that won't fit my USGI plastic canteens. Got a french metal canteen and cup, no cover. British PLCE pouch fixes problem.

Late to the party. I have a setup similar to kgd's: Snow peak 700 ti mug/pot with lid, Kleen Kanteen 40 oz, and a Maxpedition 12" x 5" bottle holder. I also have another setup using a Maxpedition 10" x 4" bottle holder. In the 10" x 4", I have a Snow Peak 600 ti mug, and will use either a 1l SIGG ss bottle, or the smaller 27 oz Kleen Kanteen. I tighten the mesh bag for the mug around its rim, and then tuck it inside the mug. This eliminates rattling with the smaller bottles.
