Non Sticky, Unofficial Fiddleback Forge Trade Thread

Hey Ladies and Gents,
I am fairly new to the forum. I discovered Fiddlebacks a couple years but could never afford one. Recently I bought one and love it but I like trading and selling stuff. I have a Bushboot I bought last week that I would be willing to trade. I am interested in shadetree handles or micarta. Thanks for your time!

2013 1101 008 – Bushboot, Arizona Desert Ironwood over black g10 with an orange g10 pinstripe, SFT Tang, Convex on 5/32” thick 01 steel - $240SOLD

How about an emerald burlap Ladyfinger?

That is a beauty of a Nessie. I can see now that I will need to start acquiring multiples of each model for trade material as well. Must be part of Andy's marketing strategy.

Hey all, looking to mix some things up in my collection . I have a 5/32" tapered tang white oak Nessmuk (see below) that I am looking to trade!

Nessmuk: (2014 0103 013): White Oak Crotchwood (cut from same special block) over black g10 with an orange g10 pinstripe, Tapered Tang, Convex on 5/32” thick 3D Spalted 01 steel

I'm interested in swapping my nessie out for a 1/8" or 5/32" wood handled (ideally natural hardwood or ShadeTree, tapered tang) Kephart or Arete. The nessie in 5/32" is a really nice, well-rounded field knife, that is capable of many chores; the only reason I am considering trading her, is that I just picked up my ideal 1/8" stock nessie and it wouldn't be fair to everyone else for me to sit on multiples of the same model! I'll also throw in a free dangler sheath, so it goes to its new home with a pair of pants on!

So, if you have either of the two above stated knives (or similar) and are looking for a beautiful Nessmuk (and.... would like to be able to post on oh-so-prestegious hump-day thread :D) let's talk!

Cheers & thanks for looking!

This is not an actual trade post, but...

I traded 4 Fiddlebacks today... I'm not sure if I'm more excited to get the trades coming inbound to me, or for my Fiddlebacks going to new homes. Where will they sleep, what will they do? I know that sounds kinda silly, but these knives kinda talk to you! If you don't believe me, just hold one, look at it, admire it, it'll talk to you. It's amazing how you develop a relationship with a custom knife, but not so much with a production or mid-tech! Anyway, enough rambling... I'm going to enjoy a couple of birthday drinks.... anejo tequila, then maybe a good brown ale. (after all that, the knives will REALLY talk to me! :) )

:) Enjoy your inbound Fiddlebacks as well! They like it kinda cool at night and for you to wipe their butts after being used or handled!

Ah yes to be expected for fine steel... The lengths we go to in order to make sharp knives happy!

This item is still available for trades or purchase.

I remember when that one showed up in a Friday post last November. I'll say the same thing now I said then. It's gorgeous, and if it were tapered tang I would be in trouble.

Edit: like i said, my tastes change like the wind (lol)!

There is a LOT to like about that one. Made me wish I had something to trade.....

:)

I do actually. However, she and I spent quite a bit of time together the other day, I got out the sandpaper and strop. Now, she is crazy sharp and I can't part with her. We have had our ups and downs, it's been an interesting relationship. But I think she is going to stick around after all.

Wait.........we are talking about the Bushfinger, right?
