Sorry for the wound but happy to hear you did not to lose the index finger, as the
knife should be extremely sharp and somewhat heavy.

Carelessness is the worst thing when handling sharp tools.
I've also stubbed myself with my ice ax.
After climbed down I also got some anti-tetanus injections.
