Noob Here, And I'm A Girl!!

Hey, I just joined this forum, due to my recent reintrest in knifes- damn my boyfriend for encouraging me (I'll deal with you later).

So, anyways, the first knife that I partially purchased was my Kershaw Scallion, assisted opening and a combo blade. Man, I love that knife, It is just so mean sounding when it opens- yes, the ever so satisfying click of a knife...except there is one problem, it has a tendency to pop open in my pocket sometimes so I have to keep the annoying safety on it. This has gotten so annoying that I have purchased another knife.

My, second knife, which has not came in yet, is the Benchmade 557 Mini Griptillian, Tanto blade, in OD Green... Man, I cannot wait until it comes in, the anticipation is killing me, and the fact that it is coming in on Friday when I'll be on a weekend vacation just makes me angry, yeah, life sucks sometimes.

I wanted an axis lock knife because my boyfriend, Artfully Martial, has an axis lock knife. I just love playing with the axis lock, flicking the knife in and out.

I only have one question right now. Are there any other chicks out there who love knifes are am I the only one???
 
Welcome to the forum. Cindy and Ashes are two of the regular female inhabitants. I'm sure you'll meet up with them sooner or later. :)
 
There are quite a few actually. You will see them at knife shows and they aren't there just because their husbands/boyfriends dragged them kicking and screaming to the show. Not enough take part in knife forums though.

So with that being said, I would like to welcome you to BladeForums and I hope that you see fit to grace us with your presence often.

Yup... There are quite a few of us ladies. Md Wolf and Faa are two that I can think of off the top of my head right now. You see women at other forums too. I'm mostly into balisongs and that's how I actually found this thread. Artfully martial posts a lot there (in the bali section). Anyhow... welcome to the forums!
 
My wife doesn't post but she carries a Kershaw (Chive or Blackout) nearly everywhere she goes. There's also a very cool lady (Hey Gin) over on the Himalayan Imports forum. You'll be in a distiguished minority. Welcome, again.

Well, my real name is Pamela. I flit in and out of here occasionally. Got into this stuff trying to sharpen little wood carving knives, and now my friends are afraid to help out in the kitchen for fear of loosing a finger on a deba or santoku ^-^
