I recently got into sharpening and my angles started a little lower then they should've been on a couple of my good knives.. not a big problem I wouldn't think just looks like I'm putting a micro bevel on all my knives.. jw how that would affect my san mai iii srk... it's a hollow grind saber grind.. probably twenty degree micro bevel with fifteen degree secondary.. like I said jw how that affects my edge on a knife like that
 
on a knife like that, if you're actually going to be putting it through it's paces I would put a 22 degree and then a 26 micro or so. If you're batoning or heavy using with it, you would be better off with a wider angle unless you just want to slice and use it in the kitchen. You'll probably have better luck in the Maintenance, Tinkering and Embellishment forum.
