Hello all,
Long timer lurker, new member to the forum. Finally decided to join to get some questions answered. Those will come when I get the pic posting figured out. But until then, it is just good manners to say hello.
From San Antonio, lived most of my life in Austin. Been married 37 years, no kids. The screen name refers to my former career doing ballistics research. Semi-retired now, but still teach a class (Mechanical Engineering) every so often at UT Austin.
If it was wasn't for guns, knives, tools, fishing gear, and boats, I'd have a lot more money. (Proper response to that is "Yeah, so what's your point?!")
I own a few Beckers. First was a 7, a couple 15's, a 17, a 5, another 17. Missed out on the 20, but just got a 29 package, so another 5 with that. I couldn't find the "just right" tweener. Bought the two 15's thinking to modify one, but never could figure out just how to handle the relief on the spine. Once I saw the 17 with a straightened clip, that was pretty close to the answer. Amazing how such a small change can change a look so much, at least to my eye. Snagged a second 17 when they discontinued it just to have a spare. No 9 yet, but I hope y'all will let me stay.
