Glad to get along. I think I'm just in a pissy mood trying to recover from my all night binge at niagra falls last night. Going with 2 guys that bring a few thousand for one night of fun is quite the experience.

What happens at Niagra Falls STAYS at Falls!

You must be good! Even I don't charge $1000 for two guys!:D

greenknight: Welcome to BF!! The quality of S&W knives is questionable at best. I think they are crap knives. The Spyderco Salt Series is a good choice. The blades are made out of H1, and will not rust. I have a Salt 1, and it is my beach knife. The rest of the time, it sits in a knife roll. But, that was my intent for that knife in the first place.

I have a pair of the S&W HRTDR fixed-blade knives, and I LIKE 'EM! They are very solid knives, with a nice design. The 440C steel that these blades are made from isn't all THAT bad, either.

Sorry guys, but I'm not a "name-brand" snob, and I really don't mind the "value for the money" that I got with those 2 HRTDR knives.:).

Dann may be right. S&W are inconsistent in their quality control. But their Darrel Ralph-designed knives aren't bad, including the all stainless steel framelock folders.

for the price i see of some of these knives and knowing the quality and steel type i can add 20 dollars and get a red box benchmade and not look back or a native:)

Noone Ever talks about smith and wesson knives, did i miss the thread on never buying one???

Well, you could join the giant bandwagon of users who hate them, just because others do.

As for me, I like their SWAT series of knives.
