Has anyone dealt with the Nordic Knives website (http://nordicknives.com/front.html) ? I ask as I plan to get my first Randall from them. I attempted searches on 'nordic' and 'nordicknives' with no results specific to the website. Any experience, good, bad, or ugly, related here would be appreciated. Thank you.

I have visited the store quite often over the last 18 years or so. I drive up to Solvang at least once a year to do some eating, drinking and shopping. I bought my Randall Model 1 from them back in the mid to late 80's. I also bought a Butch Beaver Cholla Hunter and one of the first SOG Vietnam Commemerative Bowies (the numbered ones). The last thing I bought from them was about four years ago. I got a Harley Davidson knife as a gift for a friend. They also sponsor the Solvang Custom Knife Show, which I've attended twice. Since Solvang is a very touristy town and they get a lot of browsers in the shop, customer service has always been friendly and informative.

I know they have had a long association with Randall and even have their own special edition "Nordic Knives Bowie," which I've seen in person and is rather impressive.

That being said, I have no idea how their mail/web order business is run, but the store has been there longer than I've been going there.

I've bought several Randalls from them, and they are great people to deal with. Some were orders, some were purchased off their website, either way you can't go wrong.

I've bought a dozen or so Randalls from them over the last few years. They offer first class service - very helpful and willing to please. You can deal with confidence with them. :D

This is great. I've never seen a place with such a positive response (New Graham is the exception to that statement). Thanks to everyone.........off to get a Trailblazer. :)

The Best!
I bought my Randall Model 14 Attack from them in 1989. I carried it for the next 12 years while in uniform.

The folks at Nordic are first class. I've been visiting that store for probably 20 years and have always found them knowledgable and friendly. They have the best collection of customs for sale of any store I've ever seen. About half the store is devoted to customs!

The knife show they sponsor is one not to be missed. It's custom only and the room is generally filled with a who's who of high end knives. It's a great time and will be held this year at the end of April. The closest to a factory knife you'll likely see there is a few Randalls on the Nordic Knives table (only dealer there).

Highly recommended.

I've dealt with Nordic Knives a few times. I've had e-mail replies by return answering my questions and when I've phoned through my orders from here in England everyone has been very friendly and efficient. My knives have always arrived promptly, well-packed and exactly as described.

I bought a Ruple whittler from them last year some time. Excellent service. They are also the ones that sponsor the Solvang Custom Knife show. A GREAT show with GREAT makers like Fisk (every time I think about the blued damascus bowie of his about five years ago that I could have had for $400, I get a little teary eyed. STUPID, STUPID!!!) Yoshihara, Slobodian, Jess Horn. The list goes on. Buy the three day pass and show up early on Friday. It's the last weekend of April this year I believe. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on the dates, but I pretty sure that's when it is.

I never miss a chance to stop by the shop if I'm in the area, and have purchased a few things off the website as well. Like everyone says: a great shop.

I've dealt with Dave at Nordic knives a few times.I've got nothing but good things to say about Dave or Nordic Knives overall. One of the Better Custom knife sites out there. They don't Rape you on the prices like Most sites do.
