This one has sold, thanks for all the positive feedback.

Here is a North Carolina made Nordic knife that I sincerely hope does not offend some of the more cultured Nordic knife enthusiast here. I made this one using some of Aldo's 52100 flat stock. The blade profile was hand forged but the bevels were ground in the traditional stock removal method. The tang runs the full length of the knife and is peened to form a rivet.
Heat treat consisted of two normalizing cycles then two quench cycles and three 2 hour temper cycles. The blade was allowed to cool over night between quench cycles. The blade was ground to a thin edge and then a polished convex edge was applied. The result is a scary sharp blade that will hold a keen edge.
Here are the specs:

Steel- 52100 X 1/8 approximately
AOL- 8 1/4 inches
Grind - Flat with polished convex razor sharp edge
Blade- 3 1/2 inches
Handle- 4 3/4 inches
Handle Material- Leather with black G10 spacer
Hardware- Brass
Sheath- RH pouch style hand sewn from 6-7 ounce vegetable tanned leather. Triple welted and finished out.
Asking 150.00 shipped in the USA or Canada

i have been looking for a "scandi" knife and this one is just awesome. hand forged with (what looks to be) a fantastic grind. dang! unfortunately, i am not in buying mode right now. sigh. nice work.

Very nice piece and also nice to see some somewhat local work. Sad that I'm not in buy mode at the moment.

How could anyone be offended by such a nicely made interpretation? Great job and great price!

Thanks for the kind words of encouragment fellows. I really like this knife and almost kept it for myself. The leather handle feels sweet in the hand and the knife will make an excellent skinning or edc blade.

I'm a big fan of Nordic knives and that one is really special! Well done.

It's yours Brummie, thanks, Send ma an email or pm so we can work out the details. I'l get it ready to go.

Really nice work. any more of them coming?

That thing is killer man! Beautiful craftsmanship and quality materials make for an instant classic. I bet you could sell a ton of these on here!
