I have a few of their swords and have handled the Danish War Axe as well as other A&A weapons. Everything I've seen and/or handled close up has been fantastic in handling, aesthetics and quality. You can't go wrong with anything from Arms & Armor. Plus, the owners are great guys.
I sent them an E-Mail asking for Info. on the Steel used, And how It's made Drop Forged/Cast or ? And also where It was made, Does anyone know this Info. ? I'll post there reply when I get It,

Here's a Copy of the E-Mail reply I received from them about the Nordland Axe,
Hi Kenneth
These are cast with our other items here in Minnesota. The metal is a medium tool steel. They equate pretty well to the iron used in period but the edges are a bit softer than if they had an added hardened edge. I can do examples with the cast head and a welded on hard cutting edge or we can do axes by hand as well but these options would be at an additional cost.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
