Thanks for looking.

Honesty question for a curious non-knifemaker. Carbon is supposed to be ridiculously light...and the tang on this one seems a little less tapered than your normal. Am I observant or insane? Does CF work much different than Micarta? Texture?

I myself don't see any difference in weight much but the micarta seems lighter to me but after you shape everything down there isn't much difference that I can tell. The tang is not tapered as much as this knife was made for a little more strength. The only thing I can tell you about carbon fiber VS Micarta is that CF is murder on my bandsaw blades but it sands and shapes very easily. Micarta on the other hand cuts well and shapes well. CF dust is extremely hazardous so use good filtration and wear breathing equipment.

I'm really impressed with your knives & sheaths. May have to put in an order down the road, as I prefer the tang not tapered at all.

This one is sold to maineboatman, Fred. I will ship it along with the sub hilt. Thanks
