normal lock engagement on my sebenza?

I see your point chinaman, but you must note that the more the lockbar wears, the further engaged it will be. Therefore, if it is already engaged to the other side, then after prolonged use it should start developing blade play.

That is correct, over time it will wear, and move further over. I believe that EVENTUALLY it will develope play, but nothing a trip to the Spa can't fix :D

Just an IMO the lock bar sitting a 25% is perfect to me.

Exactly, so if a new Sebenza locks up at 90%, then it will develop blade play faster, while a 75% sebenza will have to move to 90+% first before developing play.

When I said "even better" I guess I should have said "safer". In other words, the further over the lock bar is, the more difficult it is to disengage by mistake - which might possibly happen if the lock bar were only over say 25% - see what I mean?

If there is no blade play, there is nothing to worry about. If there is blade play, send the knife in to us so we can take care of it!

Thanks
Anne

Just because it was at 90% doesn't mean it would have blade play. It would just happen to be at 90%. I haven't heard of a Sebenza developing blade play due to years of use or normal wear and tear.

We do not recommend that anyone adjusts the tension on the lock bar - i.e. pushes it one way or the other.

Um, isn't that how you open and close the knife?

Seriously though, just send it in. You've made an investment that comes with a lifetime warranty. Take advantage of what you have.

What Anne meant is to push it pass it's normal engagement. IE push it further then is requied to unlock the blade.

Plus you open and close your knife by arching the tumbstud. :p
