Hikers and campers, check this out.

Sounds like a trail system the Wilderness and Survival Skills enthusiasts should know about.

Hey Rayban,

You usually post good stuff here, but this thread is an example of what is commonly called a 'link and run' thread. You must summarize why the link is important for the audience, otherwise the mods will come down on you.

I'd edit your post if I were you to reflect the above.

Rayban,
there are portions of the North country trail less than a half hour from my house. Anyone looking for a great trail to hike in Michigan should look at this trail.

I was just up on a portion of it last weekend (2 weekends ago now I guess). I had a blast. Walked a few miles of the actual trail and then alot of trails around the area in Tahquemonon State park. You should really go check it out.

Don't tell anyone PLEASE, but the Clark Lake backcountry campsite at the state park is amazing. I had such a good time. about a mile hike in from the trail head and there's a fire ring, bear bag and privy, thats it. I can't wait to get back, and I hope it stays relatively unknown.

From what I can see of that St. park, I don't think you have to worry about over-crowdedness anytime soon.
That would be quite a feat, connecting all the links of this trail....probably won't see it during our life-time.
