Have had this North Face backpack a long time, maybe 8 years? I probably carried it a little bit years ago, but I don't really remember. It's been sitting in my closet for probably 4 years as I never carry a backpack anymore. No major stains, tears, or anything like that, only cosmetic defect I can find is that a little of the decorative orange thread on the straps is coming undone a bit, but I would just snip it off.
I believe it will carry up to a 17" laptop and it's pretty spacious overall. Comfortable to wear as well.
