Does anyone have experience with the North Ridge Tool grinder??

I have been using a Grizzly and its time to move up. I was set on a KMG, but then started thinking about a variable speed direct drive unit.

From what I've read it's one of the best machines out there. I'd say besides the tw90 it's hard to beat it

I have 2 I built, if I were in the market to buy one the north bridge or TW90 would be my choices.

The model 2 is a great package, but I struggle with the $1000.00 difference to add the adjustable arm, Baldor motor, and horizontal tilting feature for the Pro Model. All great features, but the one tilting feature seems over priced. I would certainly want the tilt over the Baldor motor and tilt arm can be added anytime. I've used one and it's a great machine.

I bought the mod 2 after using a home built for a year and a half. Used my old motor, made up some additional tooling arms. Nice precision machine, but it is no magic bullet. The ratcheting tension arm is really what sold me. Someone with experience would benefit from this machine moreso than a realative newcomer like myself. I love it I do, but it really wasn’t necessary. Some very nice blades were made on the previous. Just got tired of having to tweak the old machine constantly. This machine will be with me for a while. Rich
