Northeast Beckerhead Gathering

I have the firewood done, and am working on the compass course.

Awesome. Looking forward to it!

I have secured the time off from work and from "the boss." Gotta get some new tires on my car before I make the drive, but otherwise ready to go :)

Expect lots of pictures this year, I got sucked back into my old photography hobby so I'll be packing some camera gear with me this year.

Talked to trailbum today. Sounds like we are going to have a great time.

We can't wait.

Jeremy,

I really like the debris shelter idea. I've been working on my BushClass courses, and want to try out the insulation bed, improvised shelter, and night out with a wool blanket objectives. Looks like I could potentially knock out all three in one go :)

Wouldn't mind working more on land navigation. I can show some more traps if you want. Wild edibles maybe?

Maybe we can make a debris shelter? Bush bow and arrow contest?

Jeremy

Looks like Amanda is going to talk about wild edibles, make a fact sheet and put on a scavenger hunt.

Going to make up some water bottle kits to give away.

Geek, we can make a few shelters with the amount of people we have. Sounds fun.

Also, if anyone wants to see anything (skills, gear, etc) that I have posted on here let me know so I can bring it/ setup for it.

ironically, i'm going to be about 15 minutes from the "site" tomorrow, while i visit some friends.

next week is amazingly overbooked. bah!

Per our emails. I am going to try to stop by a few times around my work schedule. I look forward to meeting some like-minded pepes and seeing some great blades :) thx.

There is construction on the road to my house ( Murray Hill Rd )
If you are coming from 3A North take Boot Jack Rd on your right, (there will be detour signs) go about 1.3 miles to stop sign, turn right onto Murray Hill Rd ,almost immediately there is a fork in the road veer left which is Currier Rd, go about 1.2 miles. Yellow house on the left. #275

If you are coming from 3A South go past the turn for Murray Hill Rd and take the next road on the left Boot Jack Road ( there will be detour signs to follow also) follow Boot Jack 1.3 miles. Make a right at the stop sign. Almost immediately you will come to a fork in the road veer to the left which is Currier Rd. We are about 1.2 miles up on left. Look for a yellow house. #275

Getting my gear all packed up tonight and tomorrow, heading out first thing Friday morning. It's about a 5 hour drive for me. Not too bad.

Looking forward to hanging out!
