1) Great Eastern Cutlery Northfield brand #818222 Texas Yellow Rose Coon Skinner. BNIT, only out for pictures and inspection. Did wipe the factory oil off the blades. Nice smooth 5.5-6 pulls. $173

2) Traded F. Benini Custom Stag Lambsfoot. Knife is just shy of 4" closed, so vaguely #86-ish in hand, but with a #74 curve to the handle. Very nice in hand. Ultra smooth, pinchable 6.5 pull. STUNNING stag covers. 14C28N blade steel (similar to AEB-L, so tough like 1095 but takes an even better edge that lasts a lot longer and doesn't rust.) This one came to me with some problems that, thanks to my amateur modding skills, I was able to remedy outlined below:
- Blade had side wobble, enough to bother me. Repeened the joint, refinished the bolsters, now it's solid. The blade favors the mark side slightly though its nowhere close to rubbing. Tightening the joint helped realign it, too.
- Blade was more of a sheepsfoot than a lambsfoot, so I reworked the spine. I have done a bunch of lambsfoot mods to GEC Navy Knives, so have no worries, I kept the blade cool and refinished the spine nicely. You'd never know if I hadn't told you.
- Edge was actually alright, though I did sharpen it on some new stones. It push cuts catalog paper. I enhanced the sharpening notch a bit, too.

Thanks!
