Northwoods 2 Blade Scagel

Got one!

It's a big knife--has a lot of heft.
Sharp straight out of the box.

Well worth the money.

Unless you have had experience with a particular web knife dealer, you might check the GB&U forums first.

As Thomason said. . . . .do a search on BFC GB&U about Bladematrix ! There have been some mixed reviews and would definitely make contact with them to ensure that knife is in stock before ordering. I would also ask if it's a Northwoods Scagel.

I love the Scagel folders that Northwoods offers, but the only one that I liked with bolsters is their 3rd series folder in ivory. To me. . . .the single bladed Scagel is  .

"Interesting", I have not read the report in GB&U and did not intend to send someone in the wrong direction  . I have purchased from the above mentioned seller without problems but evidently need to investigate more. Thanks for the headsup...

I definitely recommend one of these. Here's mine:

Are the edges convex or beveled? I am definetely getting it but have to wait till I get back from vacation.I'm leaving today and wouldn't want it sitting in my doorway for a couple of days.;)

In my opinion, the place to buy this kind of thing is either
vintageknives.com or cumberlandknifeworks.com

He's a great guy to deal with!! I've bought at least a dozen from him in the last three years!

Billy Cochrane has got Scagel folders at www.vintageknives.com!

Yup,, just got to love the 'pup'!.  I can vouch for him as well! I have done mucho business with him for 1/2 a dozen years or so. He is one of the good guy internet knife dealers.

I have also heard wonderful reviews about Cumberland Knife Works as well, although have yet to purchase from him as of yet.

I would say stick with either of these Gents and you will be most pleased with the purchase.
