Northwoods Bullet Jack

I'd love to see a pic of the Bullet Jack next to a Case Peanut for size comparison.
I'm looking to buy a quality knife and the Bullet Jack might do it for me.

The lighting wasn't the best, but hopefully these will show some helpful comparisons. I've included a Pemberton and a couple other #25s here and there as well. Also cat hair (oops).

(Added a 2-blade #25 barlow for thickness comparison to the Northwoods single-blade)

(Added a #25 Little Jack, to show how its bolstered end tapers more than either the barehead Northwoods or #25 barlow)

Heh, after seeing your pic of the Chris Wolf I was wondering the same thing - hopefully someone will be along to answer you soon....

I don't have a whatever-you-call-those-precise-measure-thingies, but using a precision ruler and a loupe I see the spine of Northwoods' blade exactly at at 3/32".

Hopefully someone else with more technical savvy can confirm.

The blade is the same width at the spine as that of a single sheepsfoot in a #25, but feels more substantial due to the saber grind. Rather than gently tapering, the blade remains thicker through the area with the blade stamp, then plunges.

Just bought the last burnt stag from KnivesShipFree. Cannot wait until it arrives tomorrow! Will post pictures!

I apologize for bringing up an old tread but I just wondering of those who have the bullet jack if they still carry them. I was looking at getting a single blade 25 gec and stumbled on this thread thanks for any input.

I have the camel bone in a greenish hue. It was my first Northwoods knife. I use it all the time. It has a short handle (3 inches), but it packs a big punch. If it were a dog, it would be a bulldog. So if you're looking for a small knife that is extremely sturdy, this might be a good choice.

In fact, it's my avatar...

And yes I believe that knifesshipfree still has them in stock. Check their site...

I have one and like it a lot; it's a very useable size. A great coin-pocket knife; perfect back-up if you are carrying a bigger blade and want to pull something out that won't raise an eyebrow. There's also JUST enough blade exposed to pich-pull it out without nail nick.
